Bonus and penalties

Bonus/penalties are attached to a statistic.
They are characterized by a duration and by a range, all defined by a percentage.

THE 15% RULE

THE 15% RULE

The 15% rule defines the difference between a minor or a major bonus/penalty as well as the calculation rules between bonuses and penalties which affect the same statistic.

Here’s how it works:

- A Minor bonus, of or under 15% adds itself up to the other bonuses affecting the same statistic for the time it lasts, up to a maximum value of 15%.
- In the case of a conflict between minor bonus and minor penalty on the same statistic, we add all the minor bonuses and all the minor penalties affecting the creature before estimating its value, and eventually bringing it back to 15 or - 15%.

- A Major bonus, strictly higher as 15% doesn’t add up to the minor bonuses affecting the same statistic, but it replaces them for all the time it lasts. A major penalty, strictly under - 15% works the same way with minor penalties.
- Major bonuses and penalties are affected by the addition of all minor penalties and bonuses of the same statistic if the result is opposed to them (minor bonus resulting against a major penalty; minor penalty resulting agains a major bonus).
- In case of a conflict between major bonuses and penalties on the same statistic, we usually estimate the difference, then we apply the result of the difference between major bonuses, applying it if they are opposed (minor bonus resulting against a major penalty, minor penalty resulting against a major bonus).

FRIENDLY MINOR BONUS

FRIENDLY MINOR BONUS

A friendly minor bonus, of or under 15% adds up to the others affecting the same statistic during the entire time it lasts, up to a value of 15%.

If there is a conflict between minor bonus and minor penalty on the same statistic, we add up all the minor bonuses and minor penalties affecting the creature before estimating its value and eventually bringing it back to 15 or - 15%.
ENNEMY MINOR BONUS

ENNEMY MINOR BONUS

An enemy minor bonus, of or under 15% adds up to the other bonuses affecting the same statistic for the entire time it lasts, up to a value of 15%.

If there is a conflict between minor bonus and minor penalty on the same statistic, we add up all the minor bonuses and minor penalties affecting the creature before estimating its value and eventually bringing it back to 15 or - 15%.
FRIENDLY MAJOR BONUS

FRIENDLY MAJOR BONUS

A friendly major bonus, strictly higher as 15%, doesn’t add up to the other minor bonuses affecting the same statistic but replace them as long as it lasts.

Major bonuses and penalties are affected by the addition of all the minor penalties and bonuses of the same statistic, if the result is opposed to them (minor bonus resulting agains major penalty, minor penalty resulting against major bonus).

If there is a conflict between major bonus and major penalty on the same statistic, we usually estimate the difference, then we apply the result of the difference between major bonuses, applying it if it is opposed (minor bonus resulting against a major penalty, minor penalty resulting against a major bonus).
ENNEMY MAJOR BONUS

ENNEMY MAJOR BONUS

An enemy major bonus, strictly higher as 15% doesn’t add up to minor bonuses affecting the same statistic, but it replaces them for the time it lasts.

Major bonuses and penalties are affected by the addition of all the minor bonuses and penalties of the same statistic, if the result is opposed to them (minor bonus resulting agains major penalty, minor penalty resulting against major bonus).

If there is a conflict between major bonus and major penalty on the same statistic, we usually estimate the difference, then we apply the result of the difference between major bonuses, applying it if it is opposed (minor bonus resulting against a major penalty, minor penalty resulting against a major bonus).
FRIENDLY MINOR PENALTY

FRIENDLY MINOR PENALTY

A friendly minor penalty, of or over - 15% adds up to the other penalties of the same statistic for the entire time it lasts, up to a value of - 15%.

In the case of a conflict between minor bonus and minor penalty around the same statistic, we add up all the minor bonuses and penalties affecting the creature before estimating its value and eventually bringing it back to 15 or -15%.
MINOR ENNEMY PENALTY

MINOR ENNEMY PENALTY

An enemy minor penalty, of or over - 15% adds up to the other penalties of the same statistic for the entire time it lasts, up to a value of - 15%.

In the case of a conflict between minor bonus and minor penalty around the same statistic, we add up all the minor bonuses and penalties affecting the creature before estimating its value and eventually bringing it back to 15 or -15%.
MAJOR FRIENDLY PENALTY

MAJOR FRIENDLY PENALTY

A friendly major penalty, strictly under - 15% doesn’t add up to the minor penalties affecting the same statistic, it replaces it for the entire time it lasts.

Major bonuses and penalties are affected by the addition of all minor penalties and bonuses of the same statistic, if the result of the difference is opposed to them (minor bonus resulting against a major penalty, minor penalty resulting against a major bonus).

In case of a conflict between major bonuses and penalties around the same statistic, we usually estimate the difference, then we apply the result of the difference between minor penalties and bonuses of the same statistic, applying it if it’s opposed to it (minor bonus resulting against a major penalty, minor penalty resulting against a major bonus).
MAJOR ENNEMY PENALTY

MAJOR ENNEMY PENALTY

An enemy major penalty, strictly under - 15% doesn’t add up to the minor penalties affecting the same statistic, it replaces it for the entire time it lasts.

Kaodes from one of the basic field types have two vulnerabilities to other land fields, related to their own land field.

A Kaode undergoing damages after the use of a “field-type ability” by a creature of the field type it is vulnerable to, will have its resistance to damages reduced by 15% until the resolution of the said ability.
BONUS EXAMPLE

BONUS EXAMPLE

Here what could look like a Bonus during a battle.

The symbol space would obviously be fulled with a particular statistic's one, but we could anyway read the bonus this way:

- This particular statistic (on the target) will receive a friendly minor bonus of 15%.
- This particular statistic (on the target) will receive it during the X next creature's round of the launcher of the ability.
MALUS EXAMPLE

MALUS EXAMPLE

Here what could look like a Malus during a battle.

The symbol space would obviously be fulled with a particular statistic's one, but we could anyway read the malus this way:

- This particular statistic (on the target) will receive an enemy minor malus of 15%.
- This particular statistic (on the target) will receive it during the X next creature's round of the launcher of the ability.
